Cross Team Sharing - using Calisphere resources

  • What did you explore or experiment with?

We looked at photos from the 1930s.  Then we used the images to create a PowerPoint presentation.

  • How did it work?

It engaged the students, especially because we were able to incorporate local photos.

  • What is something cool you found on your own?

  • What were the challenges you encountered?

When planning lessons its easy to forget to go back and use Calisphere.  We need to remind ourselves to go back and look at it                         regularly!

  • What is something you still want to do?

          Integrate Calisphere into past units.

  • What advice do you have for others...

Don't just use it yourself, share it with your students.  It is a great resource for them, too.

District Team Sharing - This is our Game Plan!

  • Topics we will cover when we share with others

HOT Lessons

Calisphere

  • Who is your intended/desired audience - grade level. school, district

Grades 11 and 12

San Rafael High School and Monte Vista High School

San Rafael City Schools and San Ramon Unified School District

  • Strategies to work together = Collaboration!

We use iChat on a daily basis to share info/documents/ideas.  This is an easy way to communicate in which we do not have to physically meet.

Provide a short presentation for our departments and possibly for the entire school.

  • Possible Challenges

We have a very limited amount of paper at our school site.

  • When do you want this to happen?

We will share with our department next month at the department meeting.

  • Action Items for this team
